Family Picture

Here is a picture of the five of us from our photo shoot a few weeks ago. The photographer did a great job and I was so pleased with the CD of pictures. If you're ever in her area, you should look her up! I will post more photos soon.....

Daisies Ornament Party

We've not been feeling too well here, so I have been trying to nap any chance I get, I've yet to be very successful! The twins and I have nasty colds, no fun! Blech!
Here is a picture from last Friday evening of Kaitlyn and I at her Daisies Ornament Party and a picture of all the girls from her troop that went as well. We had lots of fun!

But I don't WANT to have my picture taken!

Here is a sneak peek at our outdoor photo shoot from a few weeks ago. This is so typical.......Emma screaming, Kaitlyn calm and serene, and Lauren just looking confused! Too funny, I think this particular one might turn out to be one of my favorites, but definitely WILL NOT be making an appearance on our Christmas card! Thanks goes out to the wonderful photographer (formerly of our Multiples group that now lives in New Braunfels) who had such patience with our family!

Reading in Kaitlyn's class

Today I went to Kaitlyn's class to read some books to them and then have lunch with her. She was SOOOOO excited to have me come, and I really enjoyed being back in teacher-mode, if just for 30 minutes! I don't have a picture from today, so here is a picture of Kaitlyn and her camouflaged turkey(so he doesn't get eaten for Thanksgiving). Kaitlyn wanted to turn him into a sunflower; all the kids' turkeys were hanging in the hallway at school, they were so creative! By the way, the babies were having fun over at Cassidy's house(see previous post).

Outdoor Fun

On Wednesdays, I watch a sweet little girl named Cassidy who just turned two. And my friend watches my girls on Friday...not exactly a fair deal for her, eh?!?!? :)

Anyway....we spent almost the whole morning outside, the girls had so much fun. I felt like a Mama Duck with all my little ducklings following me up and down the sidewalk. They had lots of fun with the balls and the little tricycles ...and I know they got a good nap afterwards (at least mine did)!

Cassidy (look at all her beautiful blonde hair--at 2! Kaitlyn didn't have that much hair (nor will Emma I think) until she was way past 3!)

Fall Festival Fun

This weekend, Kaitlyn's school had a Fall Festival. It was so much fun! We invited her cousin, Kristen, to come with us (and my sister-in-law, Denise), and they both had a blast! Their favorite parts were the slides and bouncers outside, and there were lots of games to play too. Kaitlyn was thrilled to win a book in the Book Walk and she choose cupcakes after she won the Cake Walk. Then we all went out to eat with Paul's parents and had yummy bar-b-que. Kristen spent the night with us, the girls fell asleep easily because they were wiped out from the festival.

What's up with this kid?!?!?

These two pictures of Lauren just crack me up--apparently, she was cracking herself up too!

Here's a hug for ya!

Tried to get the babies' mid-hug in some pictures. First Lauren was loving on Emma, with Emma being none too sure of it. Then, as usual, Emma started giggling and tackled Lauren with a great big, knock-you-down hug. They were wearing just 2 of the most adorable outfits passed on to me from my friend Kris from her daughter. Between Kris, Lisa, Shanna and the clothes I already had from Kaitlyn, these girl are going to be stylin' all winter long----and then some! Thanks ladies!

Gotcha!

Sight Word Queen

Look who came home from school yesterday wearing this beautiful crown...... Why? Because this smarty knows all 35 of her Sight Words (High Frequency Words) that she needs to know by the end of Kindergarten. Way to go Kaitlyn, we are very proud of you!

Marked up

So this is what happens when an 18 month old gets her hands on some markers. We were playing outside this morning and they love the dry erase board in the garage, but have never actually opened the markers. Until today that is! Lauren looked the worse, Emma just had some smudges around her mouth, luckily they both wiped clean easily! (Emma also just finished eating breakfast, so she is messy.) I've included a cute picture of Kaitlyn from last week...she's growing so fast! Two teeth already missing and a third one very loose--what happened to my "baby"?

Sweet girls

Emma and Lauren usually play well together, with some exceptions. Yesterday Lauren pushed Emma down, making her cry. I put Lauren in time-out for 1 minute, of couse she screamed and cried. (Hold on...getting to the "Sweet girls" part....) When I took Lauren out of time-out, I asked her to give Emma a hug, not expecting she'd actually do it! But she did, it was so very sweet, wish I had gotten a picture of it. By the time she was done hugging Emma, both were giggling.....and then Emma hugged Lauren as well. Too cute!
Pictures are: Lauren & Emma, Emma, Lauren...sorry they are hard to see in the window!

Pictures of the girls....

OK--That worked, so onto some pictures! Here are a few from Halloween, Kaitlyn was a butterfly and the babies were ladybugs...
I see now the pictures post in reverse order...gotta remember that!

And so I have joined the world of blogging....

After being a "blog-lurker" to several blogs for the past year, mostly mommies of multiples blogs, I have finally jumped in myself with help from my cousin, Karen. Can't say how interesting it's going to be, mostly the daily ramblings of a mommy of three.....but here goes!
