Kindergarten Celebration

How is it possible that my sweet little girl is almost a FIRST Grader?!?!?!?!?!?!? Wow, it seems like not so long ago I was rocking her in the glider, now she is a lovable, friendly, sweet, outgoing, almost 6 1/2 year old!
We went to a Kindergarten Celebration last week (thanks to Gigi for watching the twins!) that caused me to have tears in my eyes. Pictures with her on stage aren't that great, but you get the idea!

Happy Belated Mother's Day!

Happy Belated Mother's Day to all the special women I know and love who are wonderful mothers, especially my own! Love you, Mom!

We had a nice relaxing day, I got to sleep in, we went to church, and Paul made fajitas for dinner--yum! (Please excuse the photos...this was after church and wrestling with the girls just to get a decent shot. They look good.....me, not so much!) :)

Always easy to take a photo with Kaitlyn

Cruise to nowhere

Our (permanent) view

To celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary, Paul and I took a cruise with my cousin and her husband (also celebrating their 10th). Ahh.............no kids, no tantrums, no early mornings, no ports. What's that you say? Yeah, thanks to the swine flu, we didn't make it to our (Mexican) ports--bummer! We still had a fabulous time with our own brand of humor, pirate and otherwise! It was so nice to relax and (dare I say) I was actually bored once or twice! (One can only lay out for so many days in a row! Good thing I had a good book bought my my husband and fun people to share my days with!) And happily, the kids did AWESOME with Nana and Papa here to take care of them. According to my parents, they were all perfect angels, can I get me some of that for just a day at least?!?! :) Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances (can you say major flooding/school closing, strep/sad Lauren) they had to diverge from my well-laid out OCD plans, but they did great! They were lucky enough to have our wonderful babysitter come three evenings, and Gigi came over for one day post-flood, pre-strep. All in all, it was definitely worth it---who's up for a repeat in April of 2010???
