Houston Rodeo

We went to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo earlier this week.  The girls loved riding in on the "train", seeing all the animals, and the CARNIVAL!  Maybe next year we will go later and actually see the rodeo! ;)

 

 

 

Paul is up on the ferris wheel with us, he was NOT a fan of the height and didn't want his photo taken.  I thought I was the one with the fear of heights!  You should have seen him on the Sky Ride.....I had two kids, two stuffed animals, AND the back pack to get on the lift as well as myself; he had Lauren and one stuffed animal.  I think he was clinging to Lauren for dear life!  :)

Girls' Getaway Weekend

Jackie came to visit from Virginia on Thursday.....we had a fun couple of days at home, and then off to San Antonio to meet Karen!  We had so much fun shopping, eating, talking, drinking, gaming, touring, etc!  Can't wait for our next trip!

My poor sickies.....

So...Kaitlyn started Tuesday with a 103 fever, Emma started Wednesday with a 103 fever.  Lauren started Thursday with a low-grade fever and coughing.  Paul took off Wednesday and Thursday, I took off Friday.  Paul took Kaitlyn and Emma to the doctor Wednesday morning, strep was negative so they told us it was probably viral.  I talked with the doctor's office Friday morning and they confirmed both cultures were negative.   Then I get a call Friday afternoon that Kaitlyn's is positive and they have called in an antibiotic....what???  So my poor kid has been sick and miserable(on and off) for FOUR days with strep and you are just now confirming it?  Frustrating......and they wouldn't prescribe Emma any because hers was still negative.  Now I feel puny too and I am guessing some of us might be at a Rediclinic or our old stand-by, Urgent Care, sometime today.  BLAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Must get healthy, can't miss any more work.....must get healthy, can't miss anymore work....must get healthy, can't miss anymore work....must get healthy, can't miss anymore work....must get healthy, can't miss anymore work....must get healthy, can't miss anymore work....must get healthy, can't miss anymore work....  And my poor girls deserve to feel better!
