Curled Up

We've spent quite a bit of this week curled up, in more ways than one:

  1. The other night, Kaitlyn wanted to put her hair in curlers like I do, and she kept them in for an hour. She was thrilled with how it looked(see pics).
  2. I also have included pics from the twins curling up with Kaitlyn in bed while she was recovering from strep throat and dehydration this past weekend. (The IV helped her make a COMPLETE turn-around, she was almost 100% that evening after our Urgent Care visit(see pics).
  3. And I have spent this afternoon curled up (K is at Gigi and G-pa's and the twins are napping) because "somehow" I got strep(there is NO pics of that!) So now that it has gone from Kaitlyn to me, I'm just praying it stops here so that....
  4. There will be no new "curled up" posts from anyone else in the family!
(PS--I COULD HAVE posted a #5 and taken a picture of the dead worm curled up on our dining room floor this morning....aren't you glad I didn't???)

Wow--it really made her hair look cute!

Curled up after Urgent Care visit and IV--she looks SO much better compared to how she looked that morning

Lauren apparently had somewhere more important to be

Emma watching the rain--she loved looking out the window. Lauren was too scared of the thunder, she just sat in Paul's lap, covered her ears, and said "Loud!" Poor baby!

Happy now that the rain has stopped!

"Fun Girls" by Kaitlyn

BY KAITLYN:
"A couple of weeks ago I slept over at Kristen's house. This Tuesday after reading class, Kristen came over to my house. We went to Wendy's and ate a picnic lunch in the house. After that, we played with my pajamas. Then we played 'baby.' Then me and Kristen went downstairs to color to make a book. And after that, Mommy said that we had to watch the babies, but she was kidding. We got to go to the pool with her. We jumped and did tricks and my mom held me feet when I did handstands under water and when I came up I said, 'Arr, Arr!' like a seal. When we drove home, I got to sit in the front seat. We ate tacos for dinner. After that, we watched a movie and then we took a bath. Then the babies went to bed, and when Mommy and Daddy came downstairs, we got to have fruit snacks. Then we played Barbies upstairs before we went to bed. At bedtime, Kristen hit her head on my shelf and I went out to tell Mommy and she got Kristen some ice. Then we finally went to sleep. The End"

Fourth of July Weekend

We had a really nice 4th of July weekend. Kaitlyn and Paul went to Denise and Paul's house while the babies napped. Their neighbors had an inflatable water slide for the day, so Kaitlyn and Kristen had a blast over there for most of the afternoon (and evening!). Emma, Lauren, and I got over there in time to eat some YUMMY food. Kaitlyn got to spend the night with them as well. We went back home with the babies and just chilled out for the evening. I went over the next morning to get Kaitlyn, then we had her friend(and neighbor) come over to play. While the babies were napping, Kaitlyn, Avery, and I hung out at our community pool for 3 hours....they had a blast! It was so nice to actually get to swim for "Adult Swim" too, as opposed to corralling small children! All in all, it was a great weekend!

Kaitlyn's "New" Haircut

Here are a few pictures I took right after Kaitlyn's haircut. It's not really new anymore as we got it done on 6/15/09, I'm a little slow with the posting. We both love it very much as there are so many less tangles. :)

I also threw in a couple of pictures of Emma and Lauren after a bath...sitting on the potty in their Dora towels.
